February may have been the shortest month of the year, but this hasn’t stopped us from packing in a number of exciting new product updates.
New Android SDK & Uninstall Attribution
We are proud to announce an amazing update to our Android SDK. The biggest new feature in this new SDK is uninstall attribution. That’s right, uninstall attribution. All marketers using our new Android SDK will now be able to track not only which media sources brought each user, the user’s subsequent engagement and their LTV and ROI, but when users uninstalled their app. And because we do not charge for clicks or in-app events, our new uninstall tracking will not cost you a dime. Uninstall tracking is a huge leap forward, and we are proud to bring this to all of our customers. Please note, uninstall tracking is currently limited to Android and requires the latest AppsFlyer SDK. Our uninstall attribution solution for iOS is coming soon.
Together with this new Android SDK, we have also updated our Android Diagnostic App, which will help you easily diagnose any problems. To help you get started, we have also updated our new integration guide.
New Performance Dashboard (beta)
For some time, our R&D team has been working in stealth on an exciting new project: a fully redesigned dashboard that will offer an entirely new set of capabilities. After collecting feedback from marketers around the world, we started from scratch, rethinking the entire concept of what a mobile attribution and marketing analytics dashboard could be. We would like to invite you to take a peek behind the curtain.
The new dashboards look and feel like a breath of fresh air. Data is clearer, and the insights will really pop out at you. There are a number of new and exciting features, such as clearer in-app event reporting and organic/paid lifetime revenue breakdowns. Additionally, the new dashboards support native language reporting for Japanese and Chinese users, and more languages will be added in the future. And trust me, this is only the beginning. Over the coming weeks we will continue to import additional features to over to the new dashboard beta, so please stay tuned for more!
The new dashboards are now available to all advertisers. To check out this beta, head on over to Labs and click on the New Dashboard link. As a beta release, you may notice the occasional bug or hiccup, and features will continue to evolve as we gather customer feedback. And speaking of feedback, we would love to hear yours. Please shoot us an email at labs@appsflyer.com with your thoughts and ideas for how we can make the new dashboard even better. We look forward to hearing from you.
Better, Smarter Re-engagement
Re-engagement is a fundamental component of successful app marketing. And we have just made re-engagement easier, smarter and far more measurable. Our newly enhanced re-engagement solution is enabled with just one powerful click — no SDK updates or custom configuration parameters needed. Don't forget to use our universal deeplinking for iOS 9 and Android to deliver the optimal user experience and increase your campaign performance.
When you click to enable re-engagement ads, networks will be able to target users based on when they last opened your app. This will result in stronger re-engagement performance and more accurate reporting. Our reengagement reporting will now show the additional activity and value re-engagement ads brought to your app.
Google AdWords iOS Search Attribution Tables
Google AdWords does not support standard attribution for iOS search results. However, marketers can upload a table of their installs to AdWords to gain a more thorough perspective.
A number of our clients have reported that building this install table for Google AdWords for iOS Search can be a painful, manual task. By popular request, we now offer pre-formatted tables for upload. To start receiving your Google AdWords iOS Search tables via email, please contact your Success Manager.
mParticle and Shazam Integrations
Here at AppsFlyer, we are always looking for new and exciting ways to help mobile app marketers use their mobile attribution and engagement data. With this in mind, we are happy to introduce a new integration with mParticle.
And speaking of integrations, we are delighted to share that working together with Shazam, AppsFlyer now recognizes all installs from Shazam and attributes them directly to your Shazam campaigns — no media configuration or setup required! This will allow you to easily track your Shazam-enabled TV, radio and cinema ad performance, right from your AppsFlyer dashboard.
AppsFlyer is Now a DoubleClick Certified Marketing Partner
After working together to help mobile marketers measure and improve their efforts for quite some time, it is with great satisfaction that we announce that AppsFlyer is now a DoubleClick Certified Marketing Partner. As a DoubleClick Certified Marketing Partner, we look forward to continued innovation and collaboration in the weeks to come.
