At AppsFlyer we want all of our advertisers to take advantage of every feature we offer to maximize conversions and in-depth tracking data. Each integrated feature was done with our advertisers in mind with the goal of helping them be better marketers and to achieve the best ROI. Some advertisers are regular groupies of certain features, but others haven’t even begun to take advantage. This post is meant to spotlight features that you’ve been missing out on and can help you become an AppsFlyer power user.
So here are some of the best features you’re just not using!
Loyal Users
You probably logged into your dashboard and noticed the “Loyal User per Media Source” pie chart. So what exactly is a loyal user? By default, AppsFlyer defines a loyal user as someone who has completed three app sessions.
You may have ignored it in the past because it didn’t suit your needs. For example, if you’re in the gaming industry, you might consider a loyal user to be someone who makes in-app purchase or reaches another benchmark. There’s no such thing as a loyal user who is all things to all advertisers. The solution is to customize! It seems that many of our advertisers didn’t know that they can define loyal users by the in-app events you create in AppsFlyer. This is meant to ensure that each advertiser meets its individuals KPIs.
Contact your account manager for details and to take advantage of this feature as soon as possible!
Server to Server Events
At AppsFlyer we realize it’s important for mobile marketers to have a holistic view of all their campaigns and consumers’ activities to calculate ROI correctly. You may know precisely which consumers converted on mobile or on the web. The question is whether your data is connected? Can you see consumers’ activities on mobile, web, and offline? If you’re not, you may be calculating your consumers’ ROI incorrectly.
For that reason, we created the server to server event feature. Do you have a consumer who perused your catalog in the app but made the purchase in your store or your website? Basically this feature is the solution to do just this. When your consumers convert on the web and offline, you can configure your servers to send the AppsFlyer server the data. Our servers then display the information in your Aggregated Performance Report, enabling you to calculate the true ROI of your consumers. (Also check out this blog post on measuring true user ROI.)

Push API
Many advertisers have their own BI systems and want to do more in depth analysis about their campaigns’ install rates and in-app events. Advertisers have the ability to configure this feature and specify which data they want to send where. The example below shows that all data on organic and non-organic installs and in-app events are sent to the same server. However, you can configure multiple endpoints for different data sets.
Check out our knowledge base for more information on using the Push API.
Pull API
While your AppsFlyer dashboard provides a good sense of your campaigns and the LTV of your users, every now and then you download the raw data or performance reports to delve into the numbers for a more granular view. Instead of downloading the reports from your dashboard, save time by getting them automatically with our Pull API.
To configure, just click Settings > Export your data using the APIs
